DMCA & Copyright Policy

Bajar is a marketplace for designs made by their sellers — copied designs harm the creators this platform exists for, and we take reports seriously. This page explains how to report an infringing listing, what happens next, and how a seller can respond.

1. Reporting an infringing listing (takedown notice)

Email our copyright agent at [email protected] with the subject “DMCA takedown” and include all of the following:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed (a link to where your original is published or sold works well).
  2. The URL(s) of the Bajar listing(s) you are reporting.
  3. Your name, mailing address, and email address.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full legal name suffices).

Incomplete notices slow everything down — we may ask you to complete them before we can act.

2. What we do with a valid notice

  • We remove or disable access to the reported listing promptly.
  • We notify the seller, tell them which listing was removed and why, and give them a copy of the notice (minus your contact details where the law allows).
  • Purchases of a removed listing may be refunded at our discretion.

3. Counter-notice (for sellers)

If your listing was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, email [email protected] with:

  1. Identification of the removed listing and its former URL.
  2. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  3. Your name, address, and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which Bajar may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.
  4. Your physical or electronic signature.

We forward valid counter-notices to the original complainant. Unless they notify us within 10–14 business days that they have filed a court action, we may restore the listing.

4. Repeat infringers

We terminate the accounts of sellers who repeatedly infringe. In practice: a second substantiated takedown is a final warning; a third ends the account and its listings. Obvious wholesale copying can skip the warnings entirely.

5. Don't abuse this process

Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing — or that it was removed by mistake — can make you liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)). Takedown notices are also not the tool for disputes about ideas, styles, or techniques: copyright protects a particular design, not the concept of, say, a fox appliqué.
